originally released on the seminal london housing benefit imprint,straight out of swag records many labels, swag classics 003 is the work of eddie richards and gideon jackson. since its 2001 debut the �a side biscuit barrel blues has steadily become what you might call a bonafide, 100% kosher tech house classic. delighting clued up clubbers the world over with its laid back, but strangely compelling, effortlessly driving groove, its a track thats grown in stature with each passing year. the other side pull tab to open (bit of a fast food theme going on here) is another dance floor gem in the original tech house style. now available again on vinyl for the first time in 17 years.

reptant has caused a bit of a stir recently and on this latest outing, he has joined craigie knowes to show his more experimental colours. new advancements in sound for sure - and they are absolutely excellent.

john daly resurfaces with an outstanding 4 track house record on craigie knowes. daly has reached an almost mythical status within the house music community, his tracks have been adored by record collectors, djs and dance floor enthusiasts since the mid-2000s. this record is the embodiment of everything we love about john daly s sound, and a bit more.

shape-shifting post-punk quasi-legends bourbonese qualk are finally getting a bit of the shine they so richly deserve after years in obscurity, not least thanks to the retrospective compilation on mannequin back in 2015. now platform 23 are reissuing their classic album -laughing afternoon, originally released back in 1983 and having lost none of its impact. its a slippery, shape-shifting creation that veers between uneasy soundscapes and gutter-dwelling funk, with some truly visionary signal processing, electronic textures and more besides in the mix. its a crime this crew arent held in the same regard as their other early 80s post-industrial peers, but at least the wrongs are being righted now.

with brighton being the spiritual birthplace of the london based anti skate label, it only felt right for them to finally have a proper release from a local talent. tech support�s output has seen releases on the likes of homage & astropical tapes, as well as a busy year of djing up and down the country. �excursion� is the dreamy playful opener that everyone needs to be prescribed in the morning, and not surprisingly, jesse bru has done an amazing job at turning it over its head quite intricately with a bit of detroit flavourings to go with it. the b-side is nothing short of special with the exciting piano keys and vocals on �praise� making it a boat party must-have. last but not least, the namesake �friends� is the butterfly-inducing club closer that�s been shown love by the likes of dan shake, lovebirds and laurence guy.

the next release on our label is coming from berlin based nick beringer and we are very happy to welcome him on board. we have been following his work for quite a while now, so we were more than happy to receive this demo from him. the three tracks that we have chosen are a bit different from his usual productions and are working well in different situations or hours of a set.

at the forefront of the irish electronic music scene, sligo-born berlin-based duo brame & hamo, aka tiarnan mcmorrow and conor hamilton, announce their hotly anticipated fourth ep, celebrity impersonator. via their own imprint, brame & hamo. the title reflects the duos personality and playful energy, nodding to their love of celebrity impersonators whilst growing up. we have a bit of a soft spot for impersonators as it is a pretty ridiculous way to earn a living. a bit like djing! our favs were those of tom cruise, bill gates, gordon ramsay and johnny depp. opening with �midnight express, the rolling melodics nod to the early sounds of prog house and italo, acting as a transitional opener to their signature trance via techno scores. on the b-side, title track �celebrity impersonator, is a moody four four that edges into the darker realms with their love of breakbeat shimmering through, resulting in a club ready anthem. melting down into a rolling trance groove with a late night heady feel, �request rhythm closes the ep. with an impressive discography of eps behind them on their own imprint - trants, club orange and the dj favourite, limewire, as well as bookings worldwide the irish pair are set to propel onwards from sligo to berlin and beyond.

new years deal - dresden s lockertmatik starts his engines for the first time on shtum and delivers a string of tracks that seem to come from a not so far away dystopian future. here are four tracks that are unpretentious but elaborate, effective but not overambitious. -break the chains- sets the bars in terms of dark techno bliss for both basements and bigger dancefloors. on -message from the underdog- lockertmatik shows off his knack for acidic perfection while -jaku- gets the jazz treatment. finally, -313 - 0351- is all about building tension without losing one bit of impact on the dancefloor. the artwork comes courtesy of carl-johannes schulze.

for this new release, the french uk am-bass-ador comes back with a 5-tracker ep, on the infamous imprint brothers from different mothers, expanding a bit more his tempo range with few special riddims. influenced by dancehall music this ep collects five party-oriented moods and interpretations of the genre with simo cell�s signature and sound design skills.

berlin based techno titan frank muller adopts his beroshima alias for a new four track ep that is already been hailed by the likes of marcel dettman and laurent garnier. first emerging in the nineties, muller has since become a techno great who has played from asia to south america and beyond. he�s had plenty of underground hits on the likes of cocoon and soma, and held some key residencies over the years. always one to command your attention with his multi layered grooves, this ep features an old juan atkins sample �buy some shit from detroit� that has been part of beroshima�s live sets for years. excellent opener �encounter� reflects a recent idea jeff mills and muller had to produce tracks together for a not yet produced sci-fi movie. it is an eight-minute astral techno trip with smooth, driving drums and plenty of intergalactic synth lines. �the passion of lovers� transfers the organic beroshima style into 2018 and shows off frank�s passion for spaced out electronica. it�s a brilliantly bumping cut with lithe synths and melodies adding that soul and colour as it races through the galaxies. the iconic �buy some� with the atkins sample then surges into the future with icy hi hats dancing over rubbery drums. the warped synths take the lead and bring a real sense of off kilter energy to this most timeless bit of techno. last of all is the fantastic space mix of �encounter� which is dreamy and cinematic with exquisite keys and pads colouring in a huge night sky as the drums drive things along. this is an archetypal techno ep filled with cosmic colours and serene emotions.

&#8203,,&#8203,,introducing paris-based contemporary sculptor and music maker erwan sene joining the exponential unknown precept roster. gathering pieces thought of as little narratives for his debut release, not without a bit french irony around the concept of work, i heard you laughing wavers towards mechanical repetition and something more outdated at times. purposely slowing down the tempo to fit the apparent redundancy of an industrial environment and its steadily running engines. an eroded atmosphere of sorts, analogous to the smokestacks emanating from factory chimneys. accentuating the ambiguity of a wild thought which is hard to grasp. despite its machine-driven aspect, sene primary questions the difficulty to manage one s life stuck in a primitive mindset, making intuitive associations in a grid pattern. carbon copy music for the tangled minds out there, leaving room for nothing but sedated feelings.

ltd repress! club style is the pseudonym used by 2 all-time chicago legends, a truly all-star line up on this record, that s right, the pairing of paul johnson and robert armani. say no more really. crazy wild is a 4 tracker of infectious, grooved out, jacking and tough house jams, both producers fingerprints are all over this one. narcotic, driving drum machines, phased out loops, armour piercing claps and basement trembling basslines are all over this ep, originally released in 1994. this one s a bit of a cult release from dm, collectors and freaks rating it highly. as usual it s a tough one to try and track down, changing hands for some hard earned cash too. this is the first time crazy wild has ever been reissued in full, just as it was originally released in 1994, complete with original dance mania label artwork. 100% legit, reissued in conjunction with dance mania records, chicago il and parris mitchell. don t sleep.

seth troxlers definitive dance floor label play it say it has a real coup for their next single: a collaborative track from trendsetting and globally renowned brothers nic fanciulli and mark fanciulli, one that is likely to become an anthem for the months ahead. the high impact star is the sort of big, muscular main room tune that blows crowds away. built around barreling drums and rubbery bass, the track is brought to life with a classic vocal sample from rose royces 1978 hit wishing on a star that truly sets the whole thing on fire. creeping synth sounds add another edge to things and the results are sure to sweep up even the biggest of dance floors. the superb dub version has even more focus on the monstrous drums and allows the synths to breath that bit more for extra euphoric effects. this is a brilliant pairing and it s no surprise the prominent brothers come up with some real house heat here.

music is feeling, music is meetings. in 2015, the s3a records 04 was released with collaborations of good friends of s3amet in the world by the music (tito wun, mannmademusic). this sampler continue the story with tracks from people s3a met during gigs and travels in the past year: sweely delivers here great speedy long jazz banger with a great voice sample as a theme. the columbian felipe gordon gives a great stompy funk bass track! on the b side, the french g2s drops a beautiful house sample based -graef like- song. for the last track need a little bit of story. in 2016 s3a released an ep called 3711 on soundofspeed records in japan. the track -bush- taken from this ep has been remixed during a contest in early 2018. 42 remixes were done and the winner has is remix edited here. pnom pen gives us here his 80 s electro version of the track adding great pads and a complete different rhythm and grooves!

jaffa surfa also known as zoltan pal is hailing from hungary and has released a few records already on other labels like tape hiss for example that already caught our attention a bit earlier. therefor we were quite happy to receive a demo from him and we signed almost all the tracks that he sent us. three tracks aiming straight at the dance floor and we hope that you enjoy and play them as much as we do.

deep, rootical lovers, darkly seething with one-step-at-a-time hurt and steely, vengeful self-esteem. hypnotic, stripped and desolate, with implacable drums and bass, dubwise from the start, the production is classic, unmistakable wackies, featuring fabian cooke�s scattered, abrupt organ stabs and minimal guitar-work, ras menelik�s masterful nyabinghi drumming, and harmonic commiseration by sugar minott and the love joys (with a strangled sob at intervals). over six minutes, the extended mix is different to the love power lp, and the additional dub, released here for the first time, is unmissable for its extra rawness and dubbed-out emptiness. plus thirteen minutes of blissed-out disco reggae on the flip: two contrasting dubs of the giorgio moroder/irene cara/flashdance cut from love power, both previously unreleased and a bit sick.
